Terms of use
Last updated: 4 November 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Pomelo when you use the app. They are short: please read them.
The service
Pomelo is an app for couples: one question a day that you both answer and, around it, messages, photos, drawings, question packs, games, dates and a journal. It is offered by Ismael Romero Ortega, a natural person, in Spain (hello@trypomelo.app; more details in the legal notice: trypomelo.app/legal).
Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old.
Your account and your pair
You sign in with Apple or Google; you are responsible for what is done with your account. Each account can be in one pair at a time: what you share in it is seen by your partner. You can leave the pair at any time from Settings.
What you create
What you write, draw or upload stays yours. You give us permission only to store it and show it to your partner, while you have an account. Our privacy policy explains the rest: trypomelo.app/privacy.
Acceptable use
- Don't upload anything illegal or anything you have no right to share.
- Don't use Pomelo to harass, threaten or harm anyone.
- Don't try to get into other people's accounts, get around the service's limits or interfere with how it works.
The subscription
The plan's features are bought as a subscription on the App Store or Google Play, under their terms for payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds. On iPhone, Apple's standard End User License Agreement also applies: www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. The subscription is cancelled from the store's settings; deleting the app or the account does not cancel it.
Without the plan, after the first time you see each other's answers, the pair becomes read-only: you can read what you have, change settings and delete, but not create anything new.
Deleting the account and suspension
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Us > Settings > Delete account). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
Warranties and liability
We do our best for Pomelo to work well and lose nothing, but it is provided as is, with no guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or for lost content. Nothing here limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Changes
If we change these terms, you will see it here with its date. If the change is important, we will tell you before it applies; using Pomelo after that means you accept it.
Law and contact
They are governed by Spanish law. For any question, write to hello@trypomelo.app.
